The devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 first inspired Mike to help others…
In 2006 at Michaels’s 8th Birthday party, he raised money for the Katrina Hurricane Survivors earning him earning him the 2006 New Haven County United Way Youth of the Year Award.
He loved his family, playing sports and going on vacation

…going to Yankee Stadium
He loved to travel and learn about different cultures, meet people and explore new places with family and with friends…
In his short life he visited Italy, France, Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamacia, Aruba, St. Thomas and many other Caribbean Islands
We tragically lost Mike less than a year after university graduation, but his smile, his love and his joyous & generous spirit will live on in us and those we can help in remembrance of him through this foundation. His life energy will continue on – always loved, never forgotten.
